Welcome to Makin' It Counts!

I am your CEO and a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with 10+ years of financial experience seeking to further outreach in financial literacy and youth development in the Non-Profit arena. I hope to leverage my transferable skills and capabilities to positively contribute to our community by providing mini workshops, helping business leaders start and develop their businesss, moderating open discussion forums and inspiring the sparkle in our future leaders of tomorrow. We also offer additional services such as notary and business start up assistance.

My why:

I have 25 years of volunteer experience but my heart calls for the development of our community’s financial and educational health. Please see my page for services offered. I will forever give credit to Lynn Douglas, who helped inspire me for this particular cause. Even in her last weeks, she was of great assistance to me. Welcome to Makin' It Counts!

I am the COO & Toya's better half - I'd like to say! I assist my wife with our Non-Profit, Makin’ It Counts Advisory. My goal at Makin’ It Counts Advisory is to create sustainable life programs at a low cost to assist in outreach within financial literacy and youth development.

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I am a Recruiter for a local Non-Profit. I have been in management, recruiting, training, and staffing for over 25 years with a large part of my experience coming as a Retail District Manager for a Fortune 500 company. My passion for helping others succeed and grow to be better individuals is what motivates me. I have hired and trained hundreds of associates in my career with many of them using my tutelage to get promoted to higher positions or transition on to other companies for better opportunities.

My why:

My reason for winning is my family. Life has a lot of twist and turns, but my priority and goal is to set my wife and children and beyond up for the sucess they deserve in the best way I can. My wife's passion is volunterring and community work so now that we are a team, we have a job to do! When not working I enjoy spending time with my wife Toya and our 4 children. Our family bowls in league, we love the beach, comedy and music!
